Safety
1 The device must be installed, commissioned and
maintained by a licensed technician in accordance with
national regulations and/or relevant local requirements.
2 Make sure that all connection fittings are watertight.
3 When connecting water pipes, make sure that threaded
connections are not mechanically overstressed.
4 Water temperatures higher than 50°C may cause
severe burns.
5 Any use of the device other than its intended use is
prohibited.

Operation/Use
The regulating valve acts on the draught value of the solid
fuel generator, varying the passage cross section and
therefore the comburent air flow rate. As the temperature of
the system water changes, by means of the lever device
formed by the control stem and the chain, the draught
regulating valve modifies the position of the comburent air
inlet door, opening or closing it respectively as the water
temperature decreases or increases, thus regulating the
combustion process.
Installation
A Assembly and disassembly should always be carried
out while the system is cold and not in pressure.
B Accessibility: it is essential that access to the valve is
not obstructed, in order to allow maintenance of the
valve or fittings if required.
C Installation.
Installation procedure:
Installation normally takes place using the special threaded
connection on board the generator, in accordance with the
following procedure:
D Fully tighten the 3/4” tapered thread, directing the lever
correctly towards the comburent air inlet door.
E Fit the regulating valve lever by tilting it downwards
slightly.
F Lock the lever in position, using a flat head screwdriver
to tighten the screw so that the chain is vertically aligned
with the connection on the comburent air inlet door
(Fig. F1).
G To adjust the length of the chain, set the knob to 60°C
H Switch on the solid fuel generator and manually adjust the
draught door, so that the water temperature stabilises at
60°C.
I Fix the chain so that the door opening measures approx.
1 mm. In this setting, the regulating valve allows selection of
a temperature between 30°C and 90°C on a second
occasion. The useful force of the chain is 10 N.
Temperature adjustment
L The working temperature of the regulating valve can be
selected by turning the knob to a value between 30°C
and 90°C, displaying the desired value in the relevant
windows, one for vertical installation
