A tap is a cutting tool for threading a hole.
There are abutments for all kinds of diameters.
Colossus have wings (flutes) for 3 reasons.

To provide cutting edges,
They offer space for the burrs and for
They channel cutting fluid when cutting. (where used)

1. Fasten the thread tap to a wrench or other holding tool
2. Drill a hole smaller than the diameter needed.
3. Keeping it flat and centered on the material, turn the key to the first “turn”
4. Once a catch is made in the material turn half a turn into the material and then back a quarter turn, this will ensure that the hole is not plugged by the burrs.
5. Continue turning until you pass the material. There should be no resistance when the cut is fully completed through the material when turning in or out using the collet.
6. After passing the material using the 1st guide repeat the process using the next 2 in the appropriate order based on the numbers they have on their body from smallest to largest.
7. the thread using an appropriate size screw.
