VEHICLE START WITH CABLES

STEP 1.
First we need to place one car close to the other so that the wires will reach.. The car with the charged battery should have its engine running.

STEP 2.
We place one "crocodile" of the red cable to the positive pole (+) of the full battery and the other end of the same cable to the positive pole (+) of the empty battery.

STEP 3.
We place the clamp of the black cable on the negative pole (-), first of the full battery, and then connect the other end of the black cable to a solid metal (at a distance of 30 points from the negative pole (-)) of the motor of the discharged battery and not to the negative terminal of the discharged battery.

Direct connection does charge the battery but can create intense sparking that can result in even possible battery explosion.

STEP 4.
We start the car with the empty battery and at the same time slightly press the accelerator in the donor car, so that the engine runs at about 2000 revolutions. The recipient's car should immediately take off.

STEP 5.
To disconnect the cables, we precisely reverse the above procedure.

Useful tips

• If we do the above procedure and the car does not start immediately, then we probably need a new battery. We don't need to strain the other vehicle's battery by constantly trying to start it.
• The cables used must have the correct diameter (for passenger cars at least 16 mm2) Using a smaller diameter leads to inability to start and overheating of the cables
• During the charging process, the cars must not come into contact with each other (eg an open door touching the other vehicle).
• In order for the battery to charge (after we manage to start the vehicle, we should leave the engine running for some time. It should not be turned off immediately.
