Atlabond quartz primer is a special adhesion primer consisting of synthetic resins, quartz sand and improving additives, which ensures a strong adhesion bridge on smooth or non-absorbent surfaces (exposed concrete, plasterboards, tiles, marble, mosaic, wood, metal, glass, thermal insulation boards, already painted surfaces, etc.), on which without pretreatment, it is practically impossible to coat other materials.

After its application, it creates a rough surface, which allows us to apply various coatings such as plasters of all types (cementitious, acrylic, siloxane, gypsum plasters), thermal facade adhesives, cement stuccos, etc., as well as for gluing tiles.

It has excellent resistance to alkalis while at the same time acting as a barrier to incoming moisture, protecting the building from unwanted damage. Due to its structure, it does not prevent the surfaces from breathing.

It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Surface preparation:

Floating elements, dust, grease, oil, cement residues, sealants must be removed by vigorous grinding, in order for the adhesion of Atlabond quartz primer to be successful on the substrate. Detached concrete parts, cracks and nests in the substrate must be repaired using the fiber-reinforced thixotropic high-strength cement mortar Spatocret max 20. The substrate must be properly insulated and not subject to rising moisture. Mixture preparation-dilution Atlabond quartz primer is ready for use. It can be diluted with water in a maximum amount of up to 5%. In any case of dilution of Atlabond quartz primer, it is recommended to perform a test application first. Before application, Atlabond quartz primer should be mixed well with a mechanical stirrer at low speed (300 - 400 rpm). When Atlabond quartz primer is applied as a plaster adhesion primer, there is the possibility

Application:

Atlabond quartz primer is applied with a brush, roller or paintbrush in a uniform continuous layer without gaps. If this is not ensured, there is a risk of local detachment of the coating that will be bonded onto the Atlabond quartz primer. One pass is most often sufficient. Then, we leave the Atlabond quartz primer to polymerize on the surface for approximately 12 - 24 hours depending on the humidity and temperature conditions of the surrounding area. After the Atlabond quartz primer has completely dried, we can apply the next coats.

Consumption:

Depending on the application, approximately 0.3-0.6 Kg/m²
