The fischer insulation fixing FID is a plug for fixing light fixtures in plastered and non-plastered insulation panels made from polystyrene and polyurethane.

The fischer FID is set by hand or using a cordless screwdriver.

The special spiral thread taps itself in the insulating board.

The fixtures - such as letterboxes, lamps, and motion detectors - can be secured with a 4.5 mm or 6 mm screw.

It is easily installed by hand with a screwdriver or with a cordless screwdriver.
For installation on thick plaster (6 mm) pre-drilling is recommended.
The special thread is screwed into the insulation plate itself.
Water ingress into the insulation can be prevented by sealing around the plug after installation with a suitable fischer sealant.
